Sometimes the water hit parts of the glaciers that would get it dirty. The water is also dirty because there is dirt and thins fall into the water that is dirty. Or maybe when the rocks under the snow goes down the hill it leaves the dirt behind.

Glaciers can appear dirty due to the presence of rock debris, dust, and sediment that gets trapped in the ice as it moves down the mountain. This debris can come from surrounding mountains and valleys, as well as human activities such as mining and air pollution. The ice at the base of a glacier can also pick up dark rock particles, making it appear dirty.

Why you should study glaciers?

Glaciers may seem like an unimportant, uninteresting topic, but it has made significant changes to the landscape in nearly every area of the world. Even what are today very warm areas, glaciers could have existed millions of years ago. Results of glaciers include "U" shaped valleys with the edges scratched/polished by the things the glaciers carries. Glaciers also have incredible moving strength. Boulders have been known to be moved hundreds of miles from their original position.
