Bacteria pretty much live everywhere. There are more bacteria in and on our bodies than cells in them. They are on our skin and in our digestive tracts. Ridding a body completely of them is impossible on a living individual; it cannot be done. If we look across the globe, we find their varieties and numbers are staggering. A sample of water from the deep oceans will reveal the presence of some bacteria there. Certainly bacteria can be found everywhere we live, work and play. There are bacteria on the highest mountains, and aircraft taking air samples above altitudes in excess of 50,000 feet can find it there, too. Different types can be found in different places as you'd expect, but this life form is omnipresent on earth.
