If people research embryonic stem cells, we can further put them into use into medicine. Using the somatic cell nuclear transfer method, scientists can grow human organs and tissues and then implant them into a human being. Further research can shed light on new ways to circumvent the body rejecting the given tissue.

It is very promising area of research.

Embryonic stem cells have capacity of totipotency which means they can form into any tissues.

The only problem with the research is that the cells division after certain period of time gets out of control and it develops into tumor.

Stem cells are cells that can differentiate (turn into) any type of cell in the body. Putting stem cells next to somebody's skin cells for e.g. makes the stem cells turn into skin cells. It is hoped that stem cells may be used to "grow" new organs for people that will not be rejected due to the tissue being the same as the persons own tissue.

Most cells are specialized. A skin cell can only make skin, a liver cell can only make more liver cells, that sort of thing. A stem cell hasn't specialized itself yet; it can become any kind of cell it wants.

Can you receive the benefit of embryonic stem cells by ingesting the blood from the umbilical cord?

No, you cannot receive the benefits of embryonic stem cells by ingesting blood from the umbilical cord. Embryonic stem cells need to be harvested and processed in a controlled environment to be useful for medical purposes. Ingesting blood from the umbilical cord does not provide any stem cell therapy benefits.

Why are embryonic stem cells more useful than other stem cell?

I have done pretty extensive research recently and as far as I am aware, they aren't more useful. In fact, they are destructive; Embryonic Stem Cells are almost completely unusable due to a nasty Tumor causing side affect. They might be more researched due to the high quantity available, but Induced Pluripotent Stem Cells and Adult Stem Cells are the only types of Stem Cells that can be actively used.
