I was doing this question for my year 12 Biology practical assignments...
German biochemist Johann Friedrich Meicher found nucleic acids were made of a sugar, phosphoric acid and several nitrogen-containing bases. Later it was found that the sugar in nucleic acid can be ribose or deoxyribose (DNA and RNA)
Russian scientist Pheobus Levene discovered the order of the nucleotide components (phosphate - sugar - base). He did this by breaking down nucleic acid in yeast.
there are many other people as well like Rosalind Franklin or Maurice Wilkins
Hope this helped
Both Watson and Crick were male.
The two scientists to establish DNA are James Watson and Francis Crick.
The company Watson and Crick are famous for discovering the DNA Double Helix. Watson and Crick won the Nobel Prize in 1962 for their work with the DNA Double Helix.
The double helix model of DNA proposed by James Watson and Francis Crick in 1953 was built on the research data on DNA's structure obtained by Rosalind Franklin. Franklin's X-ray diffraction images provided crucial evidence that DNA molecule is helical in shape and possesses a repetitive structure. Watson and Crick utilized her research findings to develop their own model of DNA's structure.
In the Watson and Crick model of DNA, the steps of the ladder are composed of nucleotides. Each nucleotide consists of a sugar molecule (deoxyribose), a phosphate group, and one of four nitrogenous bases: adenine (A), thymine (T), guanine (G), or cytosine (C). These nucleotides are linked together through phosphodiester bonds to form the backbone of the DNA molecule.

James Watson and Francis Crick discoverd the two strands of nucleotides that form a twisted ladder (double helix) in DNA
Watson and Crick named the shape of DNA a "double helix." This name refers to the twisted ladder-like structure of two strands of nucleotides that form the DNA molecule.
How watson and crick affect health?
Both Watson and Crick were male.
The two scientists to establish DNA are James Watson and Francis Crick.
Rosalind Franklin's X-ray diffraction images of DNA played a crucial role in Watson and Crick's development of the DNA model. Additionally, Erwin Chargaff's research on base composition in DNA provided key insights into the pairing of nucleotides.
Watson and Crick created a double delis DNA model
Watson and Crick's model of DNA showed a double helix.
James Watson and Francis Crick, along with other researchers such as Rosalind Franklin and Maurice Wilkins, are credited with discovering the double helix structure of DNA in 1953. Watson and Crick's model was based on X-ray crystallography data from Franklin and Wilkins.
