Mercury, because it has little atmosphere and no water. this causes the day time side to heat rapidly to almost 427 degrees C and the night time side to drop its temperature like a steel ball, to about-173 degrees C, not to mention it takes about 58 days and 16 hours for the planet to rotate once, so 29 days and 8 hours to super heat then the same to freeze and then some. in total, the range is about 600 degrees C from hottest point to coldest point What is wrong with statement is that while Mercury does rotate on its axis, it is tidally locked to the Sun just as the moon is to the Earth. Mercury's day is the same length as its year. So just like the moon keeps the same face toward the Earth at all times, one side of Mercury is always facing the sun and the one side is always facing away from the sun. Mercury's day and year are both 88 Earth days long.
