This would be the function of the ribosomes.

The ribosome assembles amino acids into proteins. Ribosomes are small structures made of ribosomal RNA (rRNA) and protein. (RNA is a molecule similar in structure to DNA.) When cells need to make proteins, they copy the instructions for the protein from the DNA of the cell by making a molecule of messenger RNA (mRNA). The mRNA travels to the ribosomes in the cytoplasm of the cell. Another type of RNA molecule, called transfer RNA (tRNA) brings amino acids to the ribosome. The tRNA molecules decode the mRNA by binding to it, so that the tRNAs bring in the correct amino acids according to the instructions in the mRNA. The ribosome helps keep this whole process organized and helps form the bonds between the amino acids to create a chain of amino acids. A chain of amino acids is called a polypeptide chain. Polypeptide chains fold up to form proteins.

Which cell organelle put amino acids together in a specific sequence to make proteins?

Ribosomes are the cell organelles responsible for putting amino acids together in a specific sequence to make proteins. They can be found both free in the cytoplasm and attached to the endoplasmic reticulum.

What organelle would amino acids link together?

Ribosomes are the organelles responsible for linking amino acids together to form proteins.

What small units join together to form proteins?

Amino acids are the small units that join together to form proteins through peptide bonds. Proteins are made up of long chains of amino acids that are arranged in specific sequences to carry out specific functions in the body.

Proteins are made up of what strung together?

Proteins are made up of amino acids that are linked together in a specific sequence through peptide bonds. This sequence of amino acids determines the structure and function of the protein.

Organelle makes proteins out of RNA and amino acids?

Amino acids link together by peptide bonds to form proteins. what cellular organelle does this occur?

This process occurs in the ribosomes, which are cellular organelles responsible for protein synthesis. Ribosomes connect amino acids together in a specific sequence to form a protein by catalyzing the formation of peptide bonds between them.

What molecules are responsible for building proteins?

Amino acids are the molecules responsible for building proteins. Proteins are made up of long chains of amino acids that are linked together in a specific order determined by the genetic code.

What are the building blocks of proteins and how many are there?

The building blocks of proteins are amino acids. There are 20 standard amino acids that can be found in proteins, each with a unique side chain that determines its properties and functions. Proteins are made by linking amino acids together in a specific sequence.

What is the relationship between amino acids and proteins?

Amino acids are the building blocks of proteins. Proteins are formed when amino acids are linked together in a specific sequence through peptide bonds. The sequence of amino acids in a protein determines its structure and function.

What is an organnel made up of?

An organelle is made up of various macromolecules such as proteins, lipids, and nucleic acids. These macromolecules work together to carry out specific functions within the cell, such as energy production, protein synthesis, or waste removal. Each organelle has a unique structure and composition tailored to its specific role in the cell.

Macromolecules made of amino acids?

Proteins are macromolecules made of amino acids. Amino acids are linked together in a specific sequence to form proteins, which are essential for many biological functions in the body. The order of amino acids in a protein determines its structure and function.

Are amino acids a protein?
