It is possible really for an earthquake to happen anywhere. Or at least really anywhere can feel the effects of one. Earthquakes are caused by shifts in the earth's crust, so if you live on or near a fault line, or the line where two of earth's tectonic plates meet, then erthquakes are likely as those plates shift and collide. Mountains are a result of plate collisions with earthquakes.....do you live near mountains..dun dun dun....
An earthquake can happen anywhere in the world, but they are most commonly associated with tectonic plate boundaries. These are regions where the Earth's major tectonic plates meet and interact, causing stress to build up in the Earth's crust until it is released suddenly in the form of an earthquake. Areas along the Pacific Ring of Fire and other fault lines are particularly prone to earthquakes.
An earthquake can happen anywhere. But some places are more active than others.
