Vegetation can act as a windbreak, reducing wind speed by absorbing some of the momentum of the air. Dense vegetation can create turbulence and friction, slowing down wind flow and altering its direction. In contrast, sparse or short vegetation may have minimal impact on modifying wind.
Ice floats on water because it is less dense than liquid water. When water freezes and forms ice, the water molecules arrange themselves in a crystalline structure that causes the ice to be less dense. This is why ice floats on water rather than sinking.
Using terms like "less dense" or "more dense" provides a clearer and more specific indication of the object's density compared to simply using "lighter" or "heavier." Density refers to the mass of an object relative to its volume, so it's more accurate to refer to it as less or more dense rather than just lighter or heavier.
From most dense at the core to least dense proceeding outward.
The antonym for sparse is dense.

Sparse vs. Dense GraphsInformally, a graph with relatively few edges is sparse, and a graph with many edges is dense. The following definition defines precisely what we mean when we say that a graph ``has relatively few edges'': Definition (Sparse Graph) A sparse graph is a graph in which .For example, consider a graph with n nodes. Suppose that the out-degree of each vertex in G is some fixed constant k. Graph G is a sparse graph because .A graph that is not sparse is said to be dense:Definition (Dense Graph) A dense graph is a graph in which .For example, consider a graph with n nodes. Suppose that the out-degree of each vertex in G is some fraction fof n, . E.g., if n=16 and f=0.25, the out-degree of each node is 4. Graph G is a dense graph because .

Depends on what region of Greece you are in. If you are in Athens, Thessaloniki, or some of the other more populated cities it becomes pretty dense. However rural Greece on the other hand is sparsely populated.
I lived there,....... very very dense, many people....hard to drive.....lots of poor people.
