Rumors are .. 2012. However, this rumor is based on an incorrect interpretation of Mayan prophecies, in which the calendar ends at 2012. According to John Major Jenkins and other researchers, the Mayans believed that the world would undergo a transformation in 2012. That's not the same thing as the end of the earth. No one can name the year with certainty. The planet Earth may eventually die, but scientists don't expect that to happen anywhere near our present lifetime or even in the near future.
Answer
We don't know exactly when the world going to end, but we do know it will not happen until 1000 years after the return of Jesus Christ, and that hasn't happened yet.
There is no scientifically established date for the end of the Earth. The Earth is estimated to be habitable for several billion years, but factors such as asteroid impacts, climate change, or other catastrophic events could potentially impact its future. It is important to focus on preserving and protecting our planet for future generations.
We don't know. We don't have any scientific reason to expect the Earth to cease to exist for at least five billion years or so (we expect it to become uninhabitable by humans much sooner than that, in only around a billion years, and it will be getting pretty uncomfortable by 500 million years from now or thereabouts).
When you're dealing with spans that long, picking out a particular 100 year stretch would be far more precision than the data could possibly warrant.
If you're wanting a religious answer, then you'd need to specify which religion; they mostly have different ideas. The Bible, for example, explicitly states that no one knows when the end will come except for the Father (Jesus Himself says Hedoesn't know exactly, though he knows it will be "soon" ... that was about 2000 years ago, so "soon" apparently meant something different to Him, or possibly he was just making the point "you don't know when it will happen, so you might as well plan for it happening any time now"). Anyone who simultaneously claims they're a Christian and that they know when the world will end has some 'splainin' to do.
December 21,2012 The Mayan Calender ends on that date so people now think that the world will end on that day now. I don't think it is going to happen though.
On a more serious note, though, the earth will be swallowed up by the expanding sun in about 4.5 - 5.0 billion years. But the earth will become uninhabitable as an earlier consequence of the sun's normal life cycle in about one billion years - so no need to push the panic button yet.
It depends on what you mean by this. If you mean when you or it will end, it will be when god pleases, which will be when no one suspects.
According to common knowledge, there is no reason for the Universe to end anytime soon.Quite a different question is whether the planet Earth, or at least life on planet Earth, could end at any specific moment. Yes, a catastrophe in 2012, or in 2011, or 2010, or in 2013, or in 2014... could destroy all life on Earth. There are several ways this can happen. But there is no special reason to single out the year 2012 - why the Earth should be destroyed in that specific year.
Yes, a year on Mars is longer than a year on Earth. A year on Mars is about 687 Earth days.
It depends on the size of the meteor. A large enough meteor could cause widespread destruction and potentially lead to the end of human civilization, but it is unlikely to cause the end of the world as a whole. NASA and other organizations actively monitor for potentially hazardous asteroids and comets to mitigate this risk.
One year on Mars is about 687 earth days compared to the the 365 days in a year on Earth.
it marks the end of the 10th year on earth because your first birthday marks the end of your first year on earth and it continues from there.
there is a possibility that it will end
the earth goes round the sun slower at the end of the year
No, life on Earth does not end in the year 2012. That is a ridiculous rumor.
No definitely not on the year 2012.IENSTEIN told that world will not end before 2060..........
no it won't the same thing happens every year

The year that you may not be able to live on Earth anymore is unknown. It was said that the Earth was going to end in 2012 and never did. It could be another thousand years before the Earth is unable to be lived on.
There were many people and groups that believed the world would end in 2006 and every other year since Christ walked the Earth.
The Earth will end at 22 December 2012. I think this is nonsense. The world can end in many different ways; floods, tsunami etc. But one of the other ways the world can end is when the Sun sends red hot gases to Earth or the next Ice Age in 16,000,000,000 year's time (who cares? I would have left school by then!)

The 18th century AD is defined by the calendar of Earth as occurring from the year 1701 through the year 1800.
