Sir Issac Newton contributed so many things to mechanics. His most famous contribution was his laws of motion.

1. An object at rest tends to stay at rest unless acted upon by an outside force, and an object in motion tends to stay in motion unless acted upon by an outside force.

2. Force is equal to mass times acceleration. (Probably the most useful law)

3. For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.

Newton also created Calculus, which is really useful in higher level mechanics.

Isaac newton made significant contributions to mechanics by developing the laws of motion and the concept of universal gravitation. His laws of motion describe how objects move under the influence of forces, while the concept of universal gravitation explains the force of attraction between all objects in the universe. These foundational principles laid the groundwork for classical mechanics and revolutionized our understanding of the physical world.
