As far as I know, for underground piping use plastic, for above ground steel or copper. That is the practice in the UK, but I don't know about the US. I would be surprised if it is different. We did have underground steel pipes but these are now being replaced with plastic and all new is plastic (underground)

∙ 15y agoFor methane gas, it is recommended to use yellow polyethylene (PE) piping. This type of piping is designed for natural gas and has specific properties to ensure safety and durability when transporting methane gas. Additionally, it is important to comply with local codes and regulations when selecting piping for methane gas.
Methane is obviously a gas and not an alloy.
Methane
To get the electricity from where it came from to where it is going, Just like water piping, gas piping, sewer piping, etc.
There are three main types of natural gas: methane, propane, and butane. Methane is the most abundant and commonly used type of natural gas.
No they are five atoms. It is not diatomic.
Does Archaebacteria have methane gas?
Galvanized piping or painted depending on local codes and type of fuel (gas) NO drip legs where the piping is subject to freeze ups
Yes, methane is a type of natural gas. It is a hydrocarbon gas that is the primary component of natural gas found in the earth's crust. Methane is released during the production and extraction of natural gas.
Methane is a colorless and odorless gas that is a hydrocarbon. It is the primary component of natural gas and is considered a greenhouse gas due to its ability to trap heat in the atmosphere.
No it will not poison you. Copper piping is used extensively in Medical Gas applications. "TYPE L" signifies the wall thickness of the piping.

Hydrogen. Methane as well.
The main gases in Earth's atmosphere are nitrogen (about 78%) and oxygen (about 21%). Other gases present in smaller amounts include argon, carbon dioxide, and traces of other gases like methane and ozone.
