∙ 16y agoTo replace a valve cover gasket on a 1993 Mercury Topaz, you will need basic hand tools such as sockets, wrenches, and a screwdriver. Additionally, it may be helpful to have a torque wrench, gasket scraper, and a new valve cover gasket. It's also a good idea to have some rags or shop towels on hand to clean up any oil spills during the process.
To replace the CV joints on a 1990 Mercury Topaz, you will need to lift the car, remove the wheel, brake caliper, and rotor, then disconnect the driveshaft from the transmission. Once the driveshaft is removed, you can uninstall the old CV joint and replace it with a new one before reassembling the components in reverse order. It is recommended to consult a detailed repair manual or seek professional help for this procedure.
To replace the clutch on the AC compressor in a 1993 Mercury Topaz with a 2.3 4-cylinder engine, you will need to first disconnect the negative battery terminal, remove the serpentine belt, then remove the compressor from the engine. Once the compressor is out, you can remove the old clutch and install the new one, ensuring everything is properly aligned and torqued to specification before reassembling the components. Consider consulting a repair manual for detailed instructions and diagrams specific to your vehicle.

Next, take out the old motor mount bolts and install the new motor mount, tightening the bolts to secure it in place. Double-check all connections and lower the engine back down before test-driving the vehicle.
The seven metals of antiquity are gold, silver, copper, iron, tin, lead, and mercury. These metals were known and used in ancient civilizations for various purposes such as tools, weapons, jewelry, and coinage.
We don't know who first saw the planet Mercury. Mercury can be seen with the naked eye, and it was known to ancients. It is a sure bet that when prehistoric people looked up at certain times, they saw Mercury (tho' they didn't know what it was at the time. There were ancients who recognized it as a "night visitor" that sort of looked like stars, but was brighter and did not move the same way the rest of the stars moved. Certainly they suspected something, but didn't have the tools to go far with it.

The same as any other car. You must remove the heads. This is a major repair that should only be attempted by someone with the knowledge, tools, and skill.
A broken valve cover gasket will lead to a very large oil leak, replacing it is relatively simple requiring only basic tools. First unplug the battery and remove the spark plugs, along with all the valve cover mounting nuts and bolts. Remove the old gasket and set the new one in place, using a gasket sealer is recommended.
To replace the valve cover gasket, remove the PVC valve and undue the spark plug wires (make sure you know which spark plug they go to) and remove the valve cover by loosening the accorn nuts. Your valve cover gasket kit should include new gaskeys for the spark plugs and the mounting holes. If you aren't replacing the distributor, you shouldn't need to mess with the O-ring. However, if you want to change it, you don't need any special tools. Just unplug the distributor wires (MAKE SURE YOU KNOW WHERE THEY GO!!) and then remove the distributor.
Normal mechanics tools and a good torque wrench.
