Newton came up with three laws(of motion) that govern the universe:

I. Every object in a state of uniform motion tends to remain in that state of motion unless an external force is applied to it.

II. The relationship between an object's mass m, its acceleration a, and the applied force F is F = ma. Acceleration and force are vectors (as indicated by their symbols being displayed in slant bold font); in this law the direction of the force vector is the same as the direction of the acceleration vector.

III. For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.

Newton's laws of motion state that an object will remain at rest or move at a constant velocity unless acted upon by an external force, the relationship between an object's mass and acceleration is defined by force, and for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.

What did thinkers of the scientific revolution believe in?

the physical world follows natural laws.

Isaac newton work based on Aristotle?

Isaac Newton's work built upon and expanded upon the ideas of Aristotle, particularly in the realm of physics. Newton's laws of motion and theory of universal gravitation revolutionized the understanding of the physical world, moving beyond Aristotle's ideas of natural motion and the elements. Newton's work introduced a more rigorous and mathematical approach to studying the natural world.

What newton discoveries are most important?

Some of Isaac Newton's most important discoveries include the laws of motion, universal gravitation, and the development of calculus. These discoveries laid the foundation for modern physics and mathematics, revolutionizing our understanding of the natural world.

To many Romantics the emphasis on direct experience of nature was a reflection of the idea that the theories of scientists like Sir Isaac Newton were?

seen as disconnected from the natural world and lacking in emotional depth. Romantics believed that understanding the world through direct experience of nature allowed for a more authentic and meaningful connection with the natural world, contrasting with the rational and detached approach of scientific theories like those of Sir Isaac Newton.

How did society disagree with Newton?

Society did not universally disagree with Newton, but some scholars and religious leaders criticized his theory of gravity, which challenged traditional beliefs about the natural world. Newton's ideas were seen as controversial and revolutionary at the time, with some people hesitant to accept the implications of his work.
