The bowman's capsule collects the filtrate and it enters the tubules. All glucose is reabsorbed immediately into the blood capillaries. As the rest of the filtrate travels through the tubules water and salts needed by the body are reabsorbed into the blood capillaries.

What would happen to total glomerular filtration and urine production in a human kidney if all the collecting ducts were blocked?

Total glomerular filtration would decrease due to the blockage of the collecting ducts, leading to reduced urine production. This blockage would prevent the reabsorption of water and solutes from the tubular fluid, resulting in a higher concentration of solutes in the urine that is formed.

What region of the kidney would you find renal corpuscles?

Renal corpuscles are found in the renal cortex of the kidney. They are responsible for filtering blood and forming urine through the process of ultrafiltration.

Does dilation of the afferent arteriole decrease Glomular filtration rate?

No, dilation of the afferent arteriole typically increases glomerular filtration rate by allowing more blood flow into the glomerulus. Constriction of the afferent arteriole would decrease the glomerular filtration rate.

What is the effect of constricted arterioles in the glomerular filtration rate?

Constricted arterioles in the glomerulus can lead to a decrease in the glomerular filtration rate (GFR) by reducing the amount of blood flow entering the glomerulus. This can result in decreased filtration of waste and reduced urine production.

What condition would lead to an increase in the amount of fluid entering the bowmans capsule?

An increase in blood pressure or an increase in blood volume can lead to an increase in the amount of fluid entering Bowman's capsule (glomerular filtration rate) due to increased glomerular blood flow. This can be seen in conditions such as hypertension or congestive heart failure.

How many 660microgram capsules do you take to get 2 grams worth of medication?

Please reread the question that you are trying to answer one more time. I would assume that it was asking you to get 2 grains of medication, not grams. The answer then would be 182 capsules. If it was for grams, it would be 182,000 capsules.

Would red blood cells be present in the renal filtrate?

Not normally - red blood cells are quite large and should be above the glomerular filtration size threshold. Blood in the renal filtrate will by default result in blood in the urine due to an inability of the kidney to reabsorb it and this is pathlogic.

What medication would you need to produce breast milk?

You need malunggay capsules or the prolifera monera capsules to increase milk production.

Can a woman carry pregnancy to full term with one kidney?

Theoritically the answer is YES, sure a woman with one kidney not only can be pregnat, but capable of carrying the whole pregnancy and deliver a healthy child, BUT, the woman should be at check and control by Obstetrician and Gynaecologist and Nephrologist (specialist in kidney). Must check threshold after pregnancy, creatinine, urea, glomerular and tubular fuction, as well as heart function (incld. blood pressure)
