The air is always pulled into the sampling chamber rather than pushed in, so that no heat energy is imparted to the sampled air by the blades of the sampling blower. This might cause erroneous temperature readings. Also, the dry bulb is always located nearer the entry of the sampling chamber. This is so the dry bulb cannot be affected by moisture picked up by the air as it passes over the wet bulb.
