Atoms are the smallest units of an element into which that element can be divided. And atoms are the building blocks of molecules. Compounds are just that - something that is compounded or has two or more elements combined to make it up. Atoms are the building blocks of compounds. An atom of one element that combines with an atom of another element creates a compound, a molecule of that compound. A compound is made up of molecules, and they can be simple two-atom molecules or can be molecules that are dozens or hundreds of atoms in size.

A compound is a molecule with two ore more elements. So O2 is a molecule because it contains two atoms but because both are the same (oxygen) element it is not a compound. On the other hand CO2 is a molecule because it contains 3 atoms and because ther are two elements (oxygen and carbon) it is also a compound.

Compounds are made up of molecules, which in turn are made up of atoms. Atoms are the basic building blocks of elements, which can combine to form molecules through chemical bonds. When two or more different elements chemically bond together, they create a compound.

In chemistry, a molecule is simply a pair or group of atoms that are attracted to each other by something called a chemical bond. A compound means something a little more specific. A compound is a molecule, that is a pair or group of atoms, that is made up of atoms of different kinds.

For example, Hydrogen gas (H2) is a molecule, but not a compound, because it only contains two atoms of the same type.

On the other hand, Carbon Dioxide (CO2) is both a molecule and a compound, because it is both a group of atoms bonded together and made up of different kinds.

So, molecules and compounds are related in that all compounds are molecules, but not all molecules are compounds.

Which items are related to compounds?

Elements, atoms, and molecules are related to compounds. Elements are the building blocks of compounds, atoms combine to form molecules, and molecules can be separate entities or part of a compound.

What elements related in compounds?

Elements in compounds are related through chemical bonds, where atoms are joined together to form molecules. These bonds can be covalent (sharing electrons) or ionic (transferring electrons). The properties of compounds are determined by the types of elements present and the arrangement of atoms within the molecule.

What is the relationship of a molecule and an atom?

Molecules are composed of atoms. Atoms are to elements as molecules are to compounds.

Matter is classified as?

atoms, molecules, elements, ions, and compounds

Are elements and compounds are made of atoms?

Yes. Elements are composed of individual atoms. Compounds are composed of molecules, which are chemical combinations of atoms. Some pure elements exist as molecules containing various numbers of combined atoms, such as atmospheric oxygen (O2) and ozone (O3).

What Molecules that are made up of different atoms are?

Molecules made up of different elements (different atoms) are called compounds.

2Na represents two something of sodium Its out of either atoms compounds elements or molecules?

Are elements and compounds made of atom?

Yes. Elements are composed of individual atoms. Compounds are composed of molecules, which are chemical combinations of atoms. Some pure elements exist as molecules containing various numbers of combined atoms, such as atmospheric oxygen (O2) and ozone (O3).

Are all atoms made up of molecules which may combine to form elements?

No. Molecules are made of atoms, not the other way around. Atoms of different elements combine to form compounds.

How are elements atoms and molecules are related?

Atoms are elements , e.g Hydrogen. Molecules are combinations of atoms, e.g water H2O is the combination of Hydrogen and Qxygen.

How are elements atoms molecules chemical bonds compounds mixtures and substances related?

Elements are pure substances made up of only one type of atom. Atoms are the basic building blocks of elements and can combine to form molecules through chemical bonds. Molecules can be simple (like oxygen gas) or complex (like DNA). Compounds are pure substances made up of two or more different elements chemically bonded together. Mixtures are combinations of different substances that are not chemically bonded. Substances can refer to either elements or compounds.

Are molecules only found in compounds?

No, molecules can exist both in compounds and as individual elements. In compounds, molecules are formed when atoms chemically bond together. In the case of elements, some exist as diatomic molecules (like oxygen, O2), while others exist as single atoms (like helium, He).
