Something boils water which creates steam. This being much larger than liquid water increases pressure, creating a movement of air through the turbine. This makes the turbine rotate, which generates electricity. It does this by rotating a magnet inside a coil. This induces an electric current in the coil. Magnetic fields and electric fields are related: when one changes, the other is created. And an electric field pretty much means voltage, which creates a current.

producing natural, renewable, clean energy compared to a power plant producing energy through coal

When coal is used in the energy process it gives off pollutants, but compared to wind you just put up a wind turbine, connect it to the electrical grid, and let the wind produce your energy

Are there spark plugs in turbofan engines?

No. There are not "spark plugs" on turbofan engines. There are ignitors, which help to ignite the fuel during start, but unlike spark plugs, ignitors do not run constantly.
