Denervation hypersensitivity occurs in multiple sclerosis. In multiple sclerosis demyelination of oligodendrocytes in the central nervous system and Schwann cells in the peripheral nervous system result in disruption of communication between upper motor neurons in the brain and the lower motor neurons in the gray matter of the spinal cord. The end result is denervation hypersensitivity with physical symptoms of increased muscle tone, difficulty controlling muscles, exaggerated reflexes, and muscle spasms.
Denervation hypersensitivity is caused by an increase in the sensitivity of postsynaptic neurons to neurotransmitters due to the absence of inhibitory input from the presynaptic neuron. This can lead to an increased response to neurotransmitters and a lower threshold for firing action potentials in the postsynaptic neuron, resulting in a heightened sensitivity to stimuli.
Clusters of neuronal cell bodies and dendrites in the brain are called nuclei.
Demyelination is the loss of the protective covering (myelin sheath) around nerve fibers, which can lead to impaired nerve conduction. Denervation refers to the loss of nerve supply to a particular muscle or organ, which can result in muscle weakness or dysfunction. Both conditions can lead to a variety of neurological symptoms depending on the location and extent of the damage.
The renal plexus is the sympathetic ganglion that distributes postganglionic neuronal processes to the kidneys.
allergy
The axon terminals of a neuron form the presynaptic neuronal membrane. These structures contain synaptic vesicles that store neurotransmitters for release at the synapse.
Autonomic target tissues become more sensitive than normal to stimulating agents.
denervation means "nerve injury"
The accented syllable in "Hypersensitivity" is "-sen-".
Type IV Hyper sensitivity. AKA delayed hypersensitivity. Can be classified into: -contact -tuberculin -granuloma
hypersensitivity to light :) People with migraines have this, as well as phonophopia (hypersensitivity to sound).

hi all denervation hypersenstivity means... the remaining spinal exictatory ending release mediators that cause hypersensitivity.. as a compansatory mechanism to compnsate the lesion occurs.. this leads to sprouting of collaterals from existing neurons with formation of additional exitatory endings on inter neurons and motor neurons.. and that what explains return of reflexs and some activity after the end of spinal shock post to lesion whether its UMNL or LMNL. and its the base of rehabilitaion and control of the unvolntry movement and spasticty developed below the level of lesion due to dessuction of the desinding signals.. physical therapy... work in rehabiltaion programs for neurological disorder.
Inhaled or ingested allergens usually cause immediate hypersensitivity reactions.

It is also called DTH(delayed type hypersensitivity) is cell mediated instead of antibody
