The International Date Line is NOMINALLY the meridian of 180 degrees longitude (both east and west).

The actual date line has been defined with a few bumps and jogs in it that depart from 180 degrees, in order to avoid cutting through island nations. (That would have put two different calendar dates in the same country.)

The International Date Line is located approximately along the 180° line of longitude, so it does not have a specific latitude. It is an imaginary line that runs from the North Pole to the South Pole.

It doesn't follow a single meridian of longitude all the way from pole to pole.

Nominally it should be 180 degrees, but it zigs and zags away from that meridian

in many places, in order to avoid splitting any single state, country, or group of

islands into two different calendar dates.

Then International date line is neither a line of longitude or a line of latitude. It runs in a general north-south line based in the 180 degree line of longitude. However, it is not straight like a longitude line. That is because some islands nations as well as Russia didn't to split their country with the International Date line (that would cause many issues). So, the International Date line deviates from 180 degrees longitude to avoid cutting through any nations.
