[I3]- has 22 electrons and the Lewis structure is I-I-I with three lone pair electrons about the central atom, causing the electron geometry to be trigonal bipyramidal. electron hybridization is sp3d . is that what you mean for I3? it [I3]- is more commonly considered, as I3 will have a single lone electron (21 electrons). in that case, the Lewis structure would still be linear, but there would be two lone pairs and one single electron about the central Iodine atom.
btw, this violates the ocetet rule, exposing the fact that Lewis structure is too simplistic to properly handle all variations of what is actually occurring in nature. However, this doesn't imply Lewis Structure being invalid, it is still a very useful theory in predicting Electron behavior.
O: 6 valence electrons (3 atoms) = 18 electrons
I: 7 valence electrons (1 atom) = 7 electrons
There are a total of 25 electrons, but since it is an anion, there is one extra electron making the total electron count 26 electrons or 13 pairs.
I is the central atom, and since it is in the 5th period, it could have 5 s p d f electrons, thus it could have more than an octet. But since O is in the 2nd period of the Periodic Table, it could only have up to 8 electrons (an octet)... Let us work this out knowing the latter:
So we have 13 pairs...
And let us calculate the formal charge, which is supposed to leave with 1 negative charge:
Formal charge I: 7 valence e - (8 bonds + 0 nonbonded electrons) = -1
Formal charge O: 6 valence e - (2 bonds + 4 nonbonded electrons)(4 atoms) = 0

I3- is known as the triiodide ion (or sometimes tri-iodide ion, for better readability). It arises in equilibrium when elemental iodine (I2) and the iodide ion (I-) are both present.
The molecule I3 is linear in shape. It consists of three iodine atoms bonded together in a straight line with a bond angle of 180 degrees.
Iodine is almost insoluble in water due to its non-polar nature and weak intermolecular forces. However, it dissolves easily in an aqueous solution of KI due to the formation of I3- ions, which are more polar and interact with water molecules and K+ ions, increasing its solubility.
I3- has sp3d hybridization. This means that the central iodine atom in I3- has one s orbital, three p orbitals, and one d orbital all hybridized to form five equivalent sp3d hybrid orbitals for bonding. This allows the central iodine atom to form three sigma bonds with the two surrounding iodine atoms.
i3 love you boo forever and a day (o)(o) wow
i suggest you upgrade to a i5 or i7 processor as i3 is only dual core. Plus you will need a moderate amount of RAM
full form of i3 is Intel 3
Intel i3 core can run Runescape, unfortunately however, antialiasing does not work with i3 graphics.
One can find information about i3 Research from a number of places online. PayScale, i3 Careers, Industry Canada, and i3 Pharma Resourcing on indeed website are few examples of places where one can find about i3 Research.
I think i3 is better processor than e6700 because i3 is advance technolgy processor
difference between dual core and core i3
if i am not using laptop for games which processor will be best for me out amd 6 and i3. thanks
It depends on the motherboard. If your motherboard supports core i3, it is possible, if not it isn't.
Ofcourse Intel Core i3 is better because 2nd Gen Core i3 has speed of 2.49 GHz whereas AMD Athlon has 2.26 GHz

Intel Core i3-380M is better because it processes at 2.53 GHz while the i3-2350M processes at 2.3 GHz but that is a very small difference between the two that you probably couldn't really tell the difference.
