The main difference between 10x42 and 12x42 binoculars is the magnification power. A 10x42 binocular will magnify an object 10 times, while a 12x42 binocular will magnify it 12 times. This means that the 12x42 binoculars will provide a slightly closer view of the object. However, higher magnification can also result in a narrower field of view and may make for a shakier image, as any hand movements are magnified as well.
