Yes, It is Mechanical Weathering
Acid erosion or abraision
The abraision of rocks can happen when one rock hits another, when river rocks tumble in the riverbed by fast moving water, by blowing sand particles hitting the rock, and when rocks grind against each other.
No, simple squamous epithelium is thin and not well-suited for areas subject to abrasion. Stratified squamous epithelium, with multiple layers of cells, is better adapted to withstand abrasion and protect underlying tissues.
You are most likely not going to get more than 3 years out of most pool bubble blankets. Even those with a five year warr. If you are dragging the pool cover over the coping (abraision) and leaving it on the hot pool deck (cooking or burning) or grass in direct sunlight then you have virtually cut the life of the cover in half. Consider a very good quality cover reel system. The best one is made in Canada -- Rocky's Reel. I have tried all the rest and find they are useless. Ken
Yes I have had it and the doc said it was most likely froma recent cut or abraision which I had at the time of using the hot tub. It was treated with a 7 day supply of Keflex and benedryl to relieve the itching and it can be contagious to others if you rash and or bumps are weeping
Stratified epithelium tissue provides protection against mechanical stress, abrasion, and pathogens due to its multiple layers of cells. It is found in areas of the body that are subject to wear and tear, such as the skin, esophagus, and urinary bladder. The different layers of cells allow for regeneration and replacement of damaged cells to maintain the tissue's protective function.
