a polymer which is obtained by the polmerisation of only one type of monomer is known as a homopolymer eg:Teflon, polyetheleyne etc...if it is constituted of more than one type of monomer( simpler units) then the polymer is known as copolymereg:dacron, buna s etc

the polymerisation using a single monomer. You can have polymerisation based on 2 different monomers coming together in the chain i.e. a hetero or copolymer, such as nitrile rubber, or you can have a homopolymer such as polystyrene (styrene = monomer unit)

A homopolymer is a polymer that is composed of only one type of monomer repeating in a chain. This results in a polymer with a uniform and repeating structure throughout its entire chain.

Is chitin a homo-polymer?

Chitin does not contain polymers, but is, rather, a polymer itself. Chitin is a polysaccharide. So, it is a polymer of saccharide subunits. In this case, chitin has many N-acetyl-D-glucosamine subunits.

Difference between homo polymer and co polymer?

Homopolymers are made up of repeating units of the same monomer, while copolymers are made up of repeating units of two or more different monomers. This difference results in homopolymers having a more uniform structure and properties, while copolymers can exhibit a combination of properties from the different monomers.

What is the plural form of Homo habilis Homo erectus and Homo sapiens?

The plural form of Homo habilis is Homo habilis, the plural form of Homo erectus is Homo erectus, and the plural form of Homo sapiens is Homo sapiens.

Is ch3-c-c-c-c-c-c-c-c-ch3 a polmer?

No, that is not a polymer. It is a compound known as nonane, which is made up of only one type of repeating unit. Polymers are made up of repeating units of monomers linked together in long chains.

What are the 7 scientific names of a human?

There is some dispute about the "seven" names. However, we do have "homo sapiens", "homo neandertalensis", "homo heidlebergensis","archaic homo sapiens", "homo ergaster","homo erectus", and "homo habilis".

What probably evolved from Homo erectus a Homo neanderthalensis b Homo floresiensis c Homo sapiens d H neanderthalensis and H floresiensis e all of these?

Homo sapiens probably evolved from Homo erectus, while Homo neanderthalensis and Homo floresiensis evolved separately from different branches of the Homo lineage. Homo neanderthalensis and Homo floresiensis did not directly evolve into Homo sapiens.
