The Blizzard authenticator is a device (key-chain) or app (for some mobile phones) that you can have attached to your BattleNet account. It adds an additional layer of security to your account.
With it attached to your account, when ever you log into BattleNet or one of its games, you must put in the six digit code that appears on the device or app. This code is cycled every thirty (30) seconds and is never the same code twice.
Basically it makes it very hard for hackers/key-loggers to get your account information and take your account from you.
A Blizzard Authenticator is a physical or mobile device used to provide an additional layer of security for accessing Blizzard Entertainment services like World of Warcraft or Overwatch. The blizzard authenticator code is a code provided by either a small hardware device from blizzard or mobile phone app and is required only if you have attached the authenticator to your account. If you did NOT attach one to your account, then that means you have been hacked. Call blizzard immediately to have it removed. And before you choose a different password, make sure you clean your computer out really good as you definitely have some type of key-logger on your system.
This depends whether someone with a WoW account that does have an authenticator attached has logged into your game. If so, simply log in normally but leave the authenticator field empty. It will then log in normally. If not, or the above does not help, contact Blizzard customer support. There is a chance someone got hold of your account details, added the game to their account and/or attached an authenticator. When this happens, you can no longer log in to the game or your account.
in the first place you can NOT accidentally add an authenticator, you have to purposefully add it. This means that you probalby got hacked sometime and the hacker put an authenticator on it so he would have more time to do his thing. Call Blizzard Billing. They are the only ones that can help you.
This is usually an indication that you have been hacked. Call Blizzard billing right away as they are the only ones that can help you. After you have called them, secure your computer right away. Run anti-virus, anti-malware, and anti-spyware programs to scan your computer and remove any threats. It will usually take Billing a day or two to remove the authenticator so be patient.
