The primary cause of Global warming is said to be the continuous influx of CO2 into the atmosphere. The primary cause of this influx is the burning of fossil fuels. This is adding additional greenhouse gases to the atmosphere.

Deforestation is also causing the warming to increase, as the trees can no longer remove CO2 from the air.

An abundance of CO2 in the atmosphere acts as a heat trap, it retains heats rather than letting it radiate out to space.

Human activities such as burning fossil fuels, deforestation, and industrial processes are major contributors to global warming. These activities release greenhouse gases like carbon dioxide into the atmosphere, which trap heat and cause the Earth's temperature to rise. The increase in global temperatures leads to various extreme weather events and threatens ecosystems worldwide.

The Enhanced Greenhouse Effect is causing global warming. Like a greenhouse, the Earth is getting warmer because of the greenhouse gases. Burning fossil fuels like coal and oil releases more and more carbon dioxide. Agricultural practices release methane. The increase of these gases equals a warmer Earth, causing glaciers to melt, taking away Arctic and Antarctic animals' habitats.

  • Global warming has increased over the recent forty years because we continue to burn fossil fuel in transport, industry and to generate electricity.
  • We continue to cut down forests.
  • We continue to waste electricity, forcing power companies to generate more and more by burning fossil fuels.
  • We continue to waste oil by jumping into our cars when we could walk, or ride a bicycle.

Global warming has increased by people burning coal, oil and natural gas for transport, industry and to produce electricity. All this burning of non-renewable fossil fuel adds carbon dioxide to the greenhouse gases in the atmosphere.

We are also cutting down forests to increase pasture land for beef production. Cattle belch out methane, a dangerous greenhouse gas, and the logged forests no longer absorb carbon dioxide and release oxygen.

The world's population is increasing rapidly and so there is a great and increased demand for electricity. There is still plenty of coal in the world so it is easy for governments to build more coal-fired power stations, without regard for the polluting emissions that are causing global warming to increase.

Because almost all humans just can't go 2 days without driving a car or burning fossile fuels.

Was there always global warming?

No, global warming is a relatively recent phenomenon that has significantly accelerated since the industrial revolution. Human activities, such as burning fossil fuels and deforestation, have increased greenhouse gas emissions in the atmosphere, leading to global warming.

Are landslides getting worse because of global warming?

Landslides happen because of increased rain softening the earth on the side of a mountain. They also occur where people have removed trees which anchored the earth. Removing trees has an effect on global warming, and one of the results of global warming is increased rainfall in some areas. So there is some connection.

Why will fires increase in frequency and intensity during global warming?

Because the temperature on the Earth is increased.

How will increased global warming affect the vegetation on earth?

Due to global warming the temp. of the earth is increasing very fast. this cause lot of warm on the earth and the water of the earth is going to an end

What name is given to warming of the earth due to increased levels of carbon dioxide?

The name given to warming of the earth due to increased levels of carbon dioxide is global warming. This is a result of the greenhouse effect, where carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases trap heat in the Earth's atmosphere, leading to a rise in temperature.

What are the global problems of clearing forests and increased gas emissions from factories and motor vehicles?

The main global problems of clearing forests and increased gas emissions are global warming and acid rain. The clearing of forests means additional carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, causing global warming. Increased gas emissions also contribute to global warming and acid rain.

An increase in average temperatures around the planet is known as what?

Global Warming

What is called global warming?

Global warming is the slow, steady increase in global temperatures. It is caused by increased levels in carbon dioxide and other pollutants caused by things like factories, and transportation.

What is a rise in global temperature called?

A rise in global temperature is called global warming. This phenomenon is primarily due to increased levels of greenhouse gases in the Earth's atmosphere, which trap heat and result in higher average temperatures worldwide.

What change is most likely to occur when a rain forest habitat is destroyed?
