How much liquid does an onion produce?

Not a very easy question to answer. There are many different types of onions that come in many shapes and sizes. So to be specific on liquid volume in a onion is almost impossible without knowing anything else. I have been told however, an onion is 90% water. To get a estimate of liquid weigh the onion then take 90% of the weight convert to gram then 1ml of water weighs 1 gram. 28 grams in an ounce 16 ounces in a pound. poof you have your answer.
