If xylem in a vascular plant does not function properly conduction of water and minerals become difficult. this results in the retardation of growth.

∙ 10y agoIf xylem is removed from a plant, it will not be able to transport water and nutrients from the roots to the leaves. This will lead to wilting, dehydration, and ultimately the death of the plant due to lack of water and nutrients reaching its various parts.

∙ 7y agoIf the xylem tissue in a plant dries up and dies, the plant will not be able to survive because the xylem tissue is responsible for transporting water and nutrients to the different parts of the plant.
Without the xylem tissue to transport water and nutrients, the plant will wilt and die.

∙ 9y agoXylem transports water to parts of the plant (it is the vascular system). If plants can not get water, the plant will die.

∙ 13y agoPlants use xylem tissues to transport water. If xylem is removed the transportation of water will not happen .The plant will not be able to make his food , the plant will die out.

The Xylem of a plant transports water and some nutrients.
The Xylem of a plant transports water and some nutrients.
The xylem gets water from the roots of the plant through the process of transpiration and root pressure. Water is absorbed by the plant's roots from the soil and transported through the xylem tissues to the rest of the plant.
Xylem
This is the vascular tissue xylem.

Simply put, these are the growth areas of the plant.

xylem and phloem are both in plants, xylem are like he veins in a plant, they carry water to the top of the plant
Xylem is a type of plant tissue.
When water is osmotically removed from a plant bad things could happen. When the plant is dehydrated i could die.
Xylem
Xylem transports water throughout the plant.
This is the vascular tissue xylem.
Water is carried to the leaves of a plant through the xylem vessels. These are specialized tissues that transport water and nutrients from the roots to the rest of the plant via capillary action and transpiration.
Sap rises through the xylem of the plant. The xylem is one of the two transportation materials in a plant.
