∙ 12y agoWhen particles are heated, they gain energy and move faster, causing solids to melt into liquids and liquids to evaporate into gases. On the other hand, when particles are cooled, they lose energy and move slower, causing gases to condense into liquids and liquids to freeze into solids.
The Earth's outer core is believed to be a hot liquid layer composed primarily of iron and nickel. It is responsible for generating the planet's magnetic field through convective motion of the molten metal.
When water freezes into ice, the molecules arrange themselves into a hexagonal structure with a more open and less dense arrangement compared to liquid water. This results in ice having a lower density and taking up more space than liquid water.
Oxygen is a gas at room temperature and pressure, so it does not have a solid or liquid texture. In its solid form, oxygen is a pale blue crystalline solid called dry ice or solid oxygen. In its liquid form, oxygen is a pale blue liquid.
you would have to put it in a really cold place where the molecules can slow down and go from gas to liquid to solid.
Melting: When heat is applied, a solid changes to a liquid. Freezing: When heat is removed, a liquid changes to a solid. Evaporation: When heat is added, a liquid changes to a gas. Condensation: When heat is removed, a gas changes to a liquid.
It shows to go you that the cold solid object has much more than enough specfic cold to absorbe the heat of the liguid.
Solid if it's cold, liquid if it's heated.
Ice is a solid less dense than the liquid
A vapor becomes a liquid by condensation, and a solid by freezing. Freezing does not mean cold. Anything that is solid is frozen.
the withdrawal of heat to change something from a liquid to a solid freeze is when a liquid turns back into a solid. or if it is cold outside instead of cold you could use the word freeze or freezing
Liquids will freeze in extreme cold.
it is a liquid with bits of solids so i'd say it's a liquid :D

Butter is a solid. By definition of a solid, butter has a definite shape and a definite volume.

Yes ice cream is a solid until it melts. When it melts it is a liquid!!
ice is a solid and a liquid so if u put ice in room temperature you can just watch it melt and it will turn into a liquid because its not in a cold temperature
