Nitrogen and oxygen in our atmosphere protect us from UV-C and more energetic radiation. Some of the oxygen turns into ozone thereby. Ozone protects us from UV-B. UV-A arrives at Earth's surface.

Ozone gas is found in the stratosphere of the atmosphere. It is not a uniform layer. Its thickness varies in gradation. Ozone is formed by the action of sun's rays on oxygen molecules.

However, the rate of ozone depletion is faster than its production. Depletion is caused due to CFCs(chloro flouro carbons) which are found in refrigerators, air conditioners and aerosols(used in spray cans).

No. It's a thin layer of ozone gas which protects the earth from dangerous ultraviolet radiation.

What is the Colourless gas that protects from the sun?

The colorless gas that protects Earth from the sun's harmful ultraviolet (UV) radiation is ozone. Ozone in the stratosphere absorbs and filters out a significant portion of the sun's UV radiation, helping to protect living organisms on Earth from its damaging effects.

A gas in the stratospher that helps to protect earth from ultraviolet radiation?

The gas is a miracle for earth. It is ozone.

What is the layer of gas than protects the earth from the harmful rays of the sun?

The layer of gas that protects the Earth from harmful rays of the sun is the ozone layer. It absorbs most of the sun's ultraviolet (UV) radiation, preventing it from reaching the Earth's surface and causing damage to living organisms.

What is the gas that protects us from the sun's harmful ultraivolet rays?

Ozone is the vital gas that protects the earth from the sun's harmful ultraviolet radiations.

What protects humans from ultraviolet radiation besides the ozone layer?

Only ozone layer protects us from the UV rays. No other substance or gas can do that.

Which layer of the earths atmosphere protects the earth from the dangerous ultraviolet radiations of the sun?

The ozone gas absorbs UV. It thus protects people of earth.

What gas in the atmosphere protects living things from ultraviolet light?

Ozone is the gas in the atmosphere that protects living things from ultraviolet light. It absorbs and filters out the harmful UV rays, preventing them from reaching the Earth's surface in large amounts.

What is the gas layer that protects us from ultra violet light of the sun?

The gas layer that protects us from ultraviolet light of the sun is the ozone layer. Ozone molecules in the stratosphere absorb and scatter UV radiation, preventing it from reaching the Earth's surface in harmful amounts.

What Ozone gas in The stratosphere protect us from?

It protects the Earth from most of the Sun's radiation.
