There are actually 2 different organelles that do those jobs.

The ribosomes make proteins out of amino acids, and the Golgi complex packages those proteins and ships them where they need to go.

Ribosomes are the factories in the cell that produce proteins. They are either free in the cytoplasm or attached to the endoplasmic reticulum. Ribosomes read the messenger RNA (mRNA) that contains genetic instructions for building proteins and facilitate the translation process.

They're called ribosomes, and hahaha, do we have the same "Looking Inside Cells" worksheet for homework?

They're called ribosomes. They're found in the Rough Endoplasmic Reticulum, embedded in the walls. They are also found in smaller number floating through the cytosol of the cell.

What does an mitochondria do?

All mitochondria produce energy for the cell. The cell can be considered to be a factory. This factory makes proteins in most cases. The mitochondria produce the energy for the factory to work.

What are the chemical factories in cells that produce proteins?

The rough endoplasmic reticulum produces proteins for the cell. The cell feeds off the proteins, hence the "food factory." I hope that helps.

What are the main functions of the cell membrane and what molecules is it made of?

The main functions of the cell membrane are to regulate the movement of substances in and out of the cell, provide structural support, and facilitate cell communication. The cell membrane is primarily made of phospholipids, cholesterol, and proteins.

Are proteins assembled in the cell?

Ribosomes are the cell organelles that assemble proteins. They function as factories to produce usable proteins for a cell.

What is the functions of single cell proteins?

Ribbosomes

What is a Golgi functions?

They derive glyco proteins and glyco lipids from proteins and lipids. They produce lysosomes in cell. Produce cell wall materials exept cellulose. Involve in material transportation mainly

Genes provide the information needed to produce what in the cell?

Genes provide the information needed to produce proteins in the cell. Proteins play a critical role in performing various functions within the cell, such as catalyzing chemical reactions, providing structure, and regulating gene expression.

How the cell functions be able to identify cell components in a analogy?

Cell functions can be compared to a factory production line where different workers (organelles) have specific roles in carrying out tasks. For example, the nucleus acts like a manager, giving instructions to the workers (organelles) to produce proteins or maintain cell functions. The endoplasmic reticulum serves as the assembly line, where proteins are made and packaged. The Golgi apparatus acts as the shipping department, modifying and packaging molecules before sending them to their destination within or outside the cell.

How do you produce protein?

Ribosomes produce proteins in the cell.

Do organelles produce chemicals?

No, not directly. The cell acts like a factory and what is produced by that cell is directed by the nucleus. The nucleus may direct the production of lipids or proteins but not actual chemicals.
