People were panicked when Krakatoa erupted. The explosion was heard as much as 3,000 miles away, and vibrations were recorded around the world. While people tried to flee, there was no place for them to go, and more than 165 villages were leveled and over 36,000 people were killed. Much of the damage that was done was the result of the tsunami that followed the eruption.

Various countries sent ships to assist in the evacuation, and medical aid was provided to treat injuries and illnesses caused by the eruption. The global impact of the eruption also led to advancements in the study of volcanoes and their effects on climate.

When Mount Krakatoa exploded it was a disaster. Naturally as a human reaction people who saw the explosion or were surrounded by it, did what they could to escape. They would have ran far, far away to be free from the bubbling lava.

Dunno, just a guess.

Hope i could help. :)
