The South Pole is at 90 degrees S latitude. The North Pole is at 90 degrees N latitude. All lines of longitude converge at both poles. The South Pole is located on the continent of Antarctica. Unless you are using a navigational aid such as a GPS or similar, there is a big marker and a sign indicating that you are at the South Pole.

∙ 14y agoIf you see penguins, and they are not in cages, and it is freezing, you must be in the South Pole.
Actually, the South Pole itself is too far inland for penguins. Penguins are confined to the coastal areas of the Antarctic. They are not found at the South Pole itself.

The farthest ends of a magnet are called the north pole and the south pole. These poles are where the magnetic field lines enter and exit the magnet, respectively.
The North Pole is at 90 North & the South Pole is at 90 South.
No. The South Pole is in the Antarctic. The North Pole is in the Arctic.
The North pole of a magnet or Earth attracts the South pole, while repelling the North pole. The South pole attracts the North pole and repels the South pole. For Earth, the North magnetic pole is located near the geographic North pole, and the South magnetic pole is near the geographic South pole.
Wooden poles are unlike a magnet because they do not exhibit magnetic properties. Unlike magnets, wooden poles do not have a north and south pole that attract or repel each other based on their orientation. Instead, wooden poles are non-conductive and do not interact with magnetic fields.
It takes about 12,450.5 miles from the north pole to the south pole or south pole to north pole.
