The main parts of a cell include the cell membrane that surrounds and protects the cell, the nucleus that holds genetic material, mitochondria that produce energy, endoplasmic reticulum for protein synthesis, Golgi apparatus for processing and packaging proteins, and ribosomes for protein production. Other important structures include lysosomes for waste processing, cytoskeleton for cell shape and movement, and vacuoles for storage.

The part of the cell that makes food depends on the type of cell. If it is a plant cell, the chloroplasts make the food using the process of photosynthesis. If it is an animal cell, they can not make their own food so they take food that the animal has eaten and the energy for the cell is produced in a structure in the cell called the mitochondria.

There is no part in a cell that produces food, but there is one that makes food into energy, and one that makes proteins. The mitochondria turns food into energy, while the ribosomes makes proteins. Hope that helps.
