No. The sun is composed of hydrogen and helium gas but it is not technically burning because it is not undergoing a combustion reaction. In order for combustion to take place the sun's gases would have to be exposed to oxygen but since the sun is in a vacuum this is not possible.

Sunlight is not a physical substance, so it cannot be classified as a solid, liquid, or gas. It is a form of electromagnetic radiation emitted by the sun.

Examples of the nine types of solution according to physical state?

Solid in solid: metal alloys. Liquid in liquid: vinegar dissolving in water. Gas in gas: air. Solid in liquid: salt dissolving in water. Liquid in solid: mercury absorbed by gold. Gas in liquid: carbon dioxide dissolving in soda. Solid in gas: smoke particles in air. Liquid in gas: water vapor in air. Gas in solid: hydrogen absorbed by palladium.

How many combinations of the three states of matter are there?

There are three basic states of matter: solid, liquid, and gas. The number of combinations possible from these states is 3! (3 factorial), which equals 6. The six possible combinations are solid-liquid-gas, solid-gas-liquid, liquid-solid-gas, liquid-gas-solid, gas-solid-liquid, and gas-liquid-solid.

Is zink a solid liquid or gas?

Zinc is all, a solid, liquid, and a gas. when it is melted, it is a liquid, when the liquid is heated, it becomes a vapor, a gas, and when the liquid is froze is is a solid.

What is the name of the process where a solid turns to liquid then gas?

Ah, darling, that's called "sublimation." It's when a solid skips the whole melting phase and goes straight to being a gas. It's like the rebel of phase changes, breaking all the rules and doing its own thing. So sassy and unpredictable, just like me!
