I belive that compassion is adopted from the adults in a child's life. You don't learn it like you would math, but it's not something that your born with.If we were all born with it we wouldn't have mean people. Men wouldn't ever hit women people wouldn't kill people. The world would be great and peacefull.
AnswerCertainly the environment that you grow up in has something to do with it, but I've seen more compassion that have had a tough life at a very young age. It's perhaps because of that tough environment they managed to see compassion because wise people learn from their own experiences (doesn't matter how young they are) and have a choice at lashing out to others, or learning how they felt when they weren't treated so well and feel far more compassionate for others. Some children are very compassionate and I often will call them "old souls" meaning they are wise beyond their years.Compassion is believed to be both inherent and learned. Some people may have a natural inclination towards compassion, while others may cultivate it through experiences, teachings, and practice. Ultimately, a combination of innate tendencies and nurturance contribute to the development of compassion.
An innate quality or ability is that you were born with, not one you have learned; Paul's most impressive quality was his innate goodness.
Some innate traits include reflexes, instincts, and basic emotions such as fear or joy. These traits are present at birth and are not learned through experience.

Not necessarily. Innate qualities can still be unique and original within an individual or species. While they may not be learned or acquired, they can still manifest in fresh and original ways depending on context or application.

learned
Breathing is an innate behavior that is controlled by the autonomic nervous system. It is essential for survival and is not learned, as even newborns automatically know how to breathe.
learned behavior
extrinsic, acquired, learned
Yes, cows and horses have innate and learned behavior.
Innate behaviors are instinctual and present at birth, while learned behaviors are acquired through experience or observation. Innate behaviors are genetically determined and typically do not require prior experience to be exhibited, whereas learned behaviors require practice and exposure to the environment.
