No its not. there is Diatomic Molecule compounds which consisting of two different element like: CO, NO, MgO, HCl,and HF. however, diatomic molecules are elements that are found in pairs such as: O2,N2,F2,Cl2.

No, a diatomic molecule of one element is not a compound. Compounds are formed when atoms of different elements chemically bond together. A diatomic molecule of one element, such as O2 or N2, consists of two atoms of the same element bonded together.

No, molecules of elements, and even diatomic/polyatomic molecules and other molecules which consist of multiple atoms of only one element, are not compounds. By definition, a compound consists of at least two different elements, bonded in definite proportions.

Is H2 and compound?

H2 or hydrogen gas is neither a mixture nor a compound. It is an element because it is only made up of one element which is hydrogen.

Is the diatomic molecule of hydrogen is also a compound because it is composed of more than one atom?

The diatomic molecule of hydrogen is not considered a compound.

Is carbon a element or a compound or a homogeneous mixture or a heterogeneous mixture?

Compound it cant be an element because its a diatomic or polyatomic cnt remember which one but either way its not an element its a compound. Compound it cant be an element because its a diatomic or polyatomic cnt remember which one but either way its not an element its a compound.

Which is not a formula for a diatomic molecule?

H2O is not a formula for a diatomic molecule; it is the formula for water, which is a compound composed of two hydrogen atoms and one oxygen atom. Diatomic molecules consist of two atoms of the same element chemically bonded together, like O2 (oxygen gas) or N2 (nitrogen gas).

Can a diatomic molecule be made up of more than one element?

yes.

Does oxygen have one element?

Oxygen is an element in the periodic table. It is a diatomic molecule, meaning it exists as O2, with two oxygen atoms bonded together.

Do 2 atoms make a molecule?

Yes, it is a diatomic element, a diatomic molecule. Some examples:O2 gasBr2 liquidI2 solid

Is NH3 an element compound or molecule?

NH3 is a molecule, specifically a compound. It consists of one nitrogen atom and three hydrogen atoms bonded together.

Can boron be a diatomic molecule?

Bromine is indeed a diatomic element, but bromideis the ion, so it can be made of just one charged atom.

Is oxygen classified as a compound?

No, oxygen is an element, not a compound. It is a pure substance made up of just one type of atom, specifically oxygen atoms. Compounds are made up of two or more different elements chemically bonded together.

What is made up of only one type of element?

An example of a molecule that contains only one type of atom is a diatomic gas. Diatomic gases include Hydrogen, Oxygen and Nitrogen. Inert gases are not diatomic. A molecule of any element is made up of one type of atom. So carbon, hydrogen, oxygen and ozone molecules, among many others, are each made up of one type of atom. However the oxygen molecule is made of atoms that are different from those in the hydrogen molecule.

Is oxygen an element a compound a solution or heterogeneous mixture?

Oxygen is an element, specifically a diatomic gas with the chemical symbol O2. It is not a compound, solution, or heterogeneous mixture.
