Yes. A mature tree can hold around a tonne of carbon that would otherwise end up as carbon dioxide in the atmosphere and contribute to global warming. Of course, trees do not live forever, and it is important to ensure a new tree is allowed to grow when the old one eventually dies.

∙ 13y agoCutting down fewer trees can help mitigate global warming because trees absorb carbon dioxide from the atmosphere, acting as carbon sinks. By reducing deforestation, we can preserve the carbon stored in trees and maintain ecological balance, which can contribute to slowing down climate change.

∙ 10y agoCutting down trees releases carbon dioxide from the trees. It also reduces the amount of carbon dioxide that is removed from the atmosphere, as destroyed trees can no longer take in CO2, thus elevating greenhouse gas levels and contributing to global warming.

∙ 12y agoCutting down trees (deforestation) is one of the two main human activities that are causing global warming (the other is burning fossil fuels).
Trees and all vegetation absorb carbon dioxide from the atmosphere through photosynthesis. They store the carbon and release the oxygen. So fewer trees means more carbon dioxide, a greenhouse gas, in the atmosphere where it is capturing more and more warming.

∙ 11y agoTrees absorb huge amounts of Carbon Dioxide (CO2) from the air, and 'lock' it away in their cells. Chopping down vast tracts of forest to use for construction, or to build houses on the land reduces the amount of CO2 that can be absorbed. Increased CO2 in the atmosphere traps more of the suns warmth close to the planets surface - increasing temperatures.

∙ 9y agowhen we are cutting trees, we are actually reducing the oxygen from the environment as they release o2 and are increasing the carbon dioxide as they consume it .and because of increasing carbon dioxide in environment the temperature is increasing day by day leading to global warming( i.e. melting of ice caps and increasing sea level)

∙ 14y agoTrees remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. Carbon dioxide is a global warming gas. So, the answer to your question is, yes.
Junk mail means that more trees are cut down for the paper. Trees remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere, so trees slow global warming. If there are fewer trees, then global warming increases.
Logging and cutting down trees in Los Angeles can contribute to global warming by reducing the city's carbon sink capacity. Trees absorb carbon dioxide during photosynthesis, so fewer trees means less carbon dioxide is being removed from the atmosphere. Additionally, deforestation can lead to increased greenhouse gas emissions if the trees are burned or decompose, releasing stored carbon back into the atmosphere.
Cutting trees can cause global warming. Trees absorb carbon dioxide that is causing our greenhouse effect to get stronger.
The carbon cycle can be used to slow down global warming by promoting carbon sequestration, such as planting trees and restoring ecosystems to absorb carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. Additionally, reducing deforestation and implementing sustainable land-use practices can help maintain carbon stored in forests and soil. Lastly, transitioning to renewable energy sources that reduce carbon emissions can also contribute to slowing down global warming.
Permanent deforestation can contribute to global warming by reducing the ability of forests to absorb carbon dioxide from the atmosphere through photosynthesis. This can lead to an increase in greenhouse gases, trapping heat and contributing to the greenhouse effect, which can result in global warming. Additionally, deforestation can disrupt local and regional climate patterns, further exacerbating the impact of global warming.

because of cutting down trees or global warming

no because global warming has to do with pollution not trees pollutions like cars trucks factory's all the stuff running on fossil fuel that's what we need to cut down in order to help lower global warming
Yes, trees and plants anywhere remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. Carbon dioxide is a powerful greenhouse gas which is contributing to global warming. If more trees are cut down, then global warming will increase.
Trees hold Co2 and when they are cut down, the Co2 is released, increasing global warming.
Because of cars cutting down trees and people:(
Increasing demand of houses lead to global warming that is cutting down the trees , which is the main source of rain . which causes " GLOBAL WARMING ".
the earth will survive global warming if we stop polluting the air our selvesstop driving and cutting down trees unless they are old and can be used for paper

it depends on what type of trees. oaks and maples are very common in theUSA. but there are certain types of trees that are becoming extinct for example the red oak tree is now almost extinct. if your wondering if global warming had anything to do with it the answer is not really. you see people blame only global warming for cutting down trees, but there are a lot of other types of wood company's cutting down and selling trees. and global warming is planting trees too. and just to answer your question, no the earth is not running out of trees.
