It varies somewhat but it works out to be, on average, about every 28 days. There is variation between women and even from cycle to cycle for individual women. In girls just starting menstruation and women undergoing menopause it can be (and usually is) much more irregular.
Note: the average is for the release of ONE egg and there are TWO ovaries.

mature ovary forms the pistil
The function of the chicken ovary is to produce and release eggs. Each ovary contains a cluster of developing egg cells called ova, which mature and are released periodically for fertilization.
The seeds of a plant are often found within the fruit, which is the mature ovary. The ovary is part of the flower's reproductive structure and develops into fruits that protect and disperse the seeds.

Oviduct is where the egg cells are fertilized while the ovary is where the egg cells are produced and where they mature.

When an egg cell is about to leave the ovary, the process is called ovulation. During ovulation, a mature egg is released from the ovary and moves into the fallopian tube, where it may be fertilized by sperm. This typically happens around the middle of the menstrual cycle.
