If the pond is rectangular and the sides are straight ... it's 8' x 4' at every level,

all the way to the bottom ... then its volume is

8 x 4 x 1.6 = 51.2 cubic feet = 383 gallons (rounded)

To calculate the volume, multiply the length by the width by the depth: 8ft x 4ft x 1.6ft = 51.2 cubic feet. As 1 cubic foot is approximately 7.48 gallons, the pond would need about 382.3 gallons of water to be filled.
