Blasting caps typically require 1.5 to 3 volts to detonate. It's important to follow manufacturer guidelines for the specific type of blasting caps being used to ensure safe and effective detonation.

No, a C-4 explosive cannot be set off by a microwave. Microwaves operate on a different wavelength that is not capable of detonating high explosives like C-4. C-4 requires a strong and precise detonation source, such as a blasting cap, to be set off.
To calculate the watts from volts, you need to know the current in amperes as well. Without this information, we cannot determine the watts from volts alone. The formula for calculating power (watts) is P = V x I.
Watts = Amps x Volts. Amps = Watts/Volts. 10000/120 = 83.3 amps can be used at 120 volts. On a generator that large it is most likely that it also has the capacity to produce 240 volts. 10000/240 = 41.6 amps can be used at 240 volts. What you can connect to the generator will be totals of the amperage of devices that do not go above these amp ratings.
making a little plastic explosive are we? lol. well tell u what, on the fire work day, go buy one of those 2$ air bombs and take the green thing u light up and a bit of the powder that is at the end of it and there is your grade 3 blasting cap. if u dont wanna light it up urself , then make an electronic device that will set off the green thing for u (by short circuiting a wire, makes a spark). I ran into the same problem. So i designed my own, fairly easy to make. Take a rubber or metal cap (like something you would put on the end of a chair leg to keep it from scratching the floor) fill it about halfway with black powder or something that will ignite with a fuse. pour a little bit of melted wax in the end to keep the powder from falling out. then poke a hole at the top and insert some kid of fuse. Make sure you fuse is long enough to give you time to get the hell away from whatever homemade stuff you concocted . then when your ready to blow the charge, shove the cap into the charge as far as you can, and light it.
On a 15 amp breaker, you can draw up to 120 volts in a standard residential circuit. The voltage remains constant at 120 volts, but the amperage capacity is what is limited by the 15 amp breaker.
Blast Off was created in 1989.
Were blasting off again!
Alternator is sending to much volts to battery. Suppose to turn itself off when battery gets to around 13 volts. May need new alternator.
over 1000 volts

well by turning it off you save about over 1000 volts which could power 2 lights
A stingray can give off up to 220 volts when it delivers an electric shock as a defense mechanism.
