A lead acid battery produces oxygen bubbles and hydrogen bubbles when it is being charged. A way to use this principle is to use two electrodes (pieces of metal) seperated from each other in the water. Then hook them up to a source of direct current (DC) electricity. You need to connect the positive to one electrode and the other to the negative. When the electricity is applied hydrogen bubbles will form on one electrode and oxygen bubbles on the other. These could be trapped in a flotation bag to lift the ship. It would take a massive amount of electricity to produce enough bubbles to lift a ship but it would work.

Electrolysis can be used to generate gas bubbles that can lift the hull of a sunken ship by displacing water. By running an electric current through electrodes placed on the hull, gases like hydrogen and oxygen are produced, creating buoyancy that can lift the ship. This method requires careful planning and execution to ensure the safety of the operation.

How can you float a sunken ship?

Air is lighter than water, so the more air you pump into it's closed bodies of the hull will make it raise. Thomas Alva Hayes

How do you raise a sunken boat?

A boat sinks when the hull no longer displaces the volume of water that equals the weight of the boat. Every sunken boat has its' own set of problems. There is not one way to that fits all. I raised one boat by removing the ballast weight, then pumping out the water when the gunnels all raised above the surface of the water. Another was towed to the waters edge at high tide then pumped out the water at low tide, (only about a three foot difference.) You might need to patch holes or turn off valves before you start. One way is to carefully provide flotation in the form of air bags spaced to lift the boat in an upright manner with straps. Bags placed in a compartment can brake through the deck. Straps on the hull if not wide enough can rupture the hull. Pumping water out of compartments in the wrong order can roll the vessel. Remember, The worst thing that can happen while trying to salvage a boat can be terrible.

Why does inflating large bags or balloons inside a sunken ship's hull help it rise?

Inflating bags or balloons inside a sunken ship's hull creates buoyant force, which counteracts the weight of the water that the ship displaces. This buoyant force helps to lift the ship towards the surface by reducing its overall density. As more bags are inflated, the ship becomes more buoyant and rises further towards the surface.

What type of disaster was pearl harbor?

The main disaster was the total loss of the battleship USS Arizona and nearly all of her crewmen; over a thousand men lie buried inside her sunken hull to this day.

One method of raising a sunken ship to the surface is to inflate large bags or balloons inside its hull explain why this procedure could work?

Inflating large bags or balloons inside a sunken ship's hull creates buoyant force that helps lift the vessel towards the surface. As the bags fill with air, they displace water, reducing the overall weight of the ship and allowing it to rise. This method is effective because it takes advantage of the principles of buoyancy to counteract the gravitational force pulling the ship downward.

What is non-displacement craft?

A boat, where the hull design is meant to raise the boat to skim across the surface of the water rather then ploughing through it.

Did Bobby Hull raise Champion Hereford cattle?

Maybe not Champion Herefords, but it does say in several articles that he raised (and probably still does) Polled Herefords on his ranch in Ontario.
