To convert horsepower (HP) to amperes (A), you will also need to know the voltage at which the motor operates. The formula to calculate amperage from horsepower is: Amps = (HP x 746) / (Volts x Efficiency). Once you have the voltage and efficiency of the motor where the 10 HP is driven, you can use this formula to calculate the amperage.
To convert horsepower (hp) to amperes (A), you need to know the voltage of the circuit. Without voltage information, you cannot directly convert 1.25 hp to amperes.
To calculate the HP of a motor, you can use the formula: HP = (Watts x Efficiency) / 746 Where Efficiency is a typical value between 0.7 and 0.9. For a 3 amp motor, you will need to know the voltage to calculate the wattage and then convert it to HP using the formula above.
At peak power it should draw 1.36 amp at power factor 1 or more realistically 1.7 amp at power factor 1.7.
A 10 amp fuse is designed to pass a maximum of 10 amps before it blows, thereby protecting the circuit from damage due to excessive current flow.
The McCulloch 7-10 chainsaw typically has a 6.5 horsepower engine.

I think you mean 2 HP pump. I am assuming a 220 To 240 volt supply and that should equate to about a 12 amp current. All my pumps use only a 30 amp breaker and 10 AWG wire.
