The ozone hole is a repeating phenomenon, that has most likely occurred since there was ozone in the atmosphere (hundreds of millions of years). The size of the hole is the issue, whether Man plays any part in making it bigger.

Ever since the earth was made!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not a good answer. Ozone production is based on the presence of free oxygen in the atmosphere and the very early Earth didn't have any.

What phase of evolution was the ozone created?

Ozone was created long ago. It was due to this fact humans were able to develop.

What era was the ozone layer developed?

The ozone layer developed around 2.4 billion years ago during the Great Oxidation Event in the Earth's history. This event marked a significant increase in oxygen levels in the atmosphere, leading to the formation of the ozone layer.

What era did the ozone layers appear?

The ozone layer first appeared during the Proterozoic Eon, around 2 billion years ago. This protective layer of ozone formed when oxygen levels in the atmosphere increased, allowing ozone to form from oxygen molecules.

Where was the ozone layer invented?

In the atmosphere. Hundreds of millions of years ago.

When did ozone layer develop?

The ozone layer began to form in the Earth's atmosphere around 600 million years ago during the Proterozoic eon. It became more significant around 400 million years ago during the Devonian period due to the increase in oxygen levels.

It is thought that life could not have existed on land until the ozone layer formed about 2 billion years ago. Why does life on land require an ozone layer?

Because the ozone layer provides a thin layer of protection from the harmful UV rays or ultraviolet rays.

Why didn't the ozone layer protect the dinosaur's?

The ozone layer only formed about 600 million years ago when there was already a diverse array of life on Earth. Dinosaurs went extinct around 65 million years ago due to a combination of factors, such as a large asteroid impact and volcanic activity, rather than a lack of protection from the ozone layer.

Was there an ozone layer in the permian period?

During the Permian period, which lasted from about 299 to 251 million years ago, there was an ozone layer forming in Earth's stratosphere. This layer started to develop during the Proterozoic eon, approximately 500 million years ago, and continued to evolve through the Paleozoic era, which includes the Permian period.

In what year do scientists believe that the hole in the Ozone Layer over Antarctica first appeared?

Right after the Great Oxidation Event, when the ozone layer first formed. About 500 million years ago.

Is it through that life could not have existed on land until the ozone later formed about 2 billion years ago why does life on land require an ozone layer?

Life on earth requires an ozone layer. It is because it absorbs the fatal UV rays of the sun.

How does radiation get to us from the sun?

The sun naturally gives off radiation through ultraviolet rays but the ozone layer around earth blocks most of the harmful radiation, a few years ago people using spray-cans with CFC's in them (chlorofluorocarbons) created a hole in the ozone layer over the arctic CFC's were banned but they did their damage.
