Simply put: they don't. Though they do travel faster than the speed of light, they can never be slowed down to subluminal speeds, thus they cannot be used to send information faster than the speed of light.

Tachyons are theoretical particles that travel faster than the speed of light. While they are not proven to exist, if they did, they could potentially be used to create closed timelike curves and allow for time travel. However, the existence of tachyons and their properties are purely theoretical at this point.

The tricky part would be to harness them to build a solid rocket body in place, without them running away from you.

It would be, perhaps, but from our current understanding of physics, tachyons are impossible.

What is tachyons and what use it has?

Tachyons are hypothetical particles that travel faster than the speed of light. They have not been observed in nature and their existence is purely theoretical. Some theories suggest that tachyons could have implications for time travel and communication across vast distances, but these ideas remain speculative.

What are tachyons used for?

Well, tachyons have not been proved real yet. If they were real maybe one day we can possibly travel through time or used their speed of 20 times the speed of light to reach far places the universe and beyond.

Is tachyon energy real?

Tachyons are imaginary subatomic particles that always travel faster than light.

Are tachyons possible?

The existence of tachyons, hypothetical particles that travel faster than the speed of light, has not been confirmed. Current theories suggest that tachyons would have imaginary mass and could violate causality, leading to paradoxes. As of now, there is no experimental evidence supporting the existence of tachyons.

What name is given to the hypothetical elementary particle that can travel faster than light?

They are called "tachyons."

What is tachyon travel?

Well, tachyons are particles that travel faster than the speed of light. Travel could be referring to how they move across the universe (if they exist) or somehow splitting a object down to the atoms and attaching it to a tachyon particle and sending it through space and time.

Can tachyons go faster than light speed?

Some theories suggest that tachyons could travel faster than the speed of light, but they have not been observed. In current physics, nothing with mass can reach or exceed the speed of light.

What travels faster than the speed of light?

Tachyons are hypothetical sub atomic particles that can travel faster than the speed of light.

What are tachyons?

Tachyons are hypothetical particles that would travel faster than the speed of light. These particles have not been observed in nature and remain a theoretical concept. If tachyons do exist, they would have unusual properties such as traveling backward in time.

How do you make tachyons into quarks?

Tachyons are theoretical particles and cannot be equated to existing massed particles.

What is more faster then the speed of light?

Theoretically there exist hypothetical particles called tachyons which can travel faster than the speed of light.

What are faster than light particles?

There are currently no known particles that travel faster than the speed of light in a vacuum, as Einstein's theory of relativity states that nothing with mass can reach or exceed the speed of light. However, there are theoretical particles called tachyons that are hypothesized to travel faster than light, but they have not been observed experimentally.
