body cells need oxygen, and need to get rid of carbon dioxide, so we inhale oxygen. the O2 is exchanged with CO2 in blood, and then, we exhale CO2. the O2 goes to the cells, and the cells give off CO2. then the blood carries the CO2 to the lunhs, and the cycle starts again.

Oxygen gas provides additional oxygen to the body, which can help people with breathing difficulties by increasing the amount of oxygen available for their lungs to absorb. This can improve oxygen delivery to organs and tissues, making it easier for the individual to breathe and reducing symptoms like shortness of breath.

How does heliox help the breathing process?

The combination of helium and oxygen, known as heliox, reduces the density of the delivered gas, and has been shown to reduce the effort of breathing and improve ventilation when an airway obstruction is present.

What does helium have to do with deep breathing systems?

Helium is sometimes used in deep breathing systems as a gas mixture to help improve lung function. When helium is inhaled, it can reduce airway resistance and increase the flow of oxygen to the lungs, which can be beneficial for people with certain respiratory conditions.

Do you breath more slowly if you breath in a lot of oxygen?

Breathing more deeply can help increase oxygen intake, but it won't necessarily slow down your breathing rate. The body adjusts breathing rate based on the levels of carbon dioxide in the blood, not just oxygen. So while deep breathing can increase oxygen intake, it may not directly result in a slower breathing rate.

How does respiratory differ from breathing?

BREATHING- It is the intake of oxygen and release of carbon dioxide. RESPIRATION-It involves breathing and breakdown of food with and release of energy with the help of oxidation of blood.
