This is what the Howrse E.C. help recommend (The answer was long so I picked what I thought was the most important): To restore fertility, you must let the meadow lie fallow. However, the meadow can only be restored up to its fertility level at the time of purchase. A meadow that was not fertile to start with will therefore never reach 100%.
The fertility of a meadow increases by 1% for each day that it lies fallow in spring or fall, by 3% in summer, and by 0.2% in winter. Land that lies fallow in winter will only slightly increase in fertility.
To increase fertility in a meadow on Howrse, try using items such as the Golden Apple or planting appropriate crops. You can also groom your horses daily to help boost their fertility levels. Additionally, participating in competitions and achieving higher rankings can result in increased fertility.
Unlike boxes that give you a small amount of your equus back, you get nothing if you destroy a meadow. I would suggest not destroying the meadow, and using it to grow crops, or simply laying it fallow so it can go back to 100% (or 50%) fertility. It doesn't hurt to have to many meadows.
No, meadows on Howrse are a one-time use item that cannot be sold or traded after you have used them on a horse. Once you have used a meadow, its effects are applied to the horse, and the item is removed from your inventory.
The pond would heat up faster than the meadow because water has a higher specific heat capacity than land, meaning it requires more energy to heat up. In contrast, the meadow's surface will heat up more quickly due to direct exposure to sunlight and lack of water to absorb and retain heat.
You do not clean the meadows of your equestrian center, the grooms do. You need 1 groom per 20 horses in board, but it is safer to have 1 groom per 20 stalls (just to be on the safe side).Every day, the cleanliness of your meadows goes up 10%. But only if you have enough grooms.

A fertile meadow is a little better quality then the non fertile meadow but the fertile meadow is better to grow crops on.
Fertility will rise daily from when you put the meadow into use. A 50% fertile meadow however can never become 100% fertile.
The meadow will regain fertility
