In the UK it is illegal to dock a dog's tail unless it will be used for work - and even then the dog will not be allowed in show rings. Some breeders dock puppies in other countries and send them to the UK, but the dog's are still barred from shows.

Breeders may legally dock tails in some jurisdictions if the practice is done by a licensed veterinarian for specific reasons related to the breed standard or working purposes. It is important for breeders to comply with local laws and regulations regarding tail docking to ensure the welfare of the animals and avoid legal issues.

Do comet tails face the sun?

Yes, comet tails always point away from the sun as a result of solar radiation and solar wind pushing the gas and dust particles away from the comet's nucleus in the direction opposite to the sun.

What two comet tails originate from?

Comet tails originate from the coma, which is the dusty atmosphere surrounding the comet's nucleus. The two types of comet tails are the dust tail, made up of dust particles reflecting sunlight, and the ion tail, composed of ionized gas that is pushed away from the comet by the solar wind.

Which parts of the phospholipid molecules that make up the plasma membrane face away from the watery environments?

The hydrophobic tails of the phospholipid molecules face away from the watery environments, with the hydrophilic heads facing towards the water. This arrangement helps to form the lipid bilayer structure of the plasma membrane.

What part or parts of a comet come and go during a comet's orbit?

During a comet's orbit, the coma and tails are the parts that come and go. The coma is the glowing, fuzzy cloud around the nucleus that develops as the comet gets closer to the Sun. The tails, consisting of ion and dust tails, form as a result of solar radiation and solar wind pushing the coma's particles away from the nucleus. Both the coma and tails diminish as the comet moves away from the Sun during its orbit.
