Australia and New Zealand became dominions in the 20th century, adopting the Statute of Westminster Act in 1942 and 1947 respectively, marking their legislative independence from the United Kingdom. Their development in expansion and civil movements also were similar to those in America.

Oceania's geography, with its scattered islands and vast distances between landmasses, led to the development of distinct cultures and languages as groups adapted to their local environments.
Oceania, it is on the other side of the International Dateline, it's a country in Australia/Oceania.
