Try as you might, it is very difficult and approaching impossible to control somebody. You can influence them with strong arguments, or if you're extra sleazy, you can try emotional or physical abuse. However, ultimately try as you like people will be who they want to be, and they will make the choices that they want to make. Power is an illusion; the sooner you realize that, the sooner your human interactions become easy.
