well say the attmosphere was a blanket and the blanket had a hole in it. well the sunlight goes through that hole and the blanket closes the hole to were the sunlight cannot leave the attmosphere and that causes the greenhouse effect aka global warming

  1. Greenhouse effect helps regulate Earth's temperature by trapping heat in the atmosphere, making the planet habitable for life.
  2. It is essential for agriculture as it maintains the warmth necessary for plant growth and crop production.
  3. Greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide help insulate the atmosphere, protecting it from harmful solar radiation.

Thel effect of the greenhouse effect is that it keeps us warm. The natural greenhouse effect is supported by the water and carbon cycles moving water and carbon in and out of the atmosphere, in balance. Without this natural effect the earth would be much colder, probably frozen, and we couldn't survive.

One useful application of the Greenhouse Effect is the greenhouse itself. Plants can be grown in almost any weather using a greenhouse if the sun shines.

Is a bottle a good model of the natural greenhouse effect in the atmosphere?

No, a bottle is not a good model of the natural greenhouse effect in the atmosphere. The greenhouse effect in the atmosphere involves the trapping of heat by gases like carbon dioxide and water vapor, leading to warming of the Earth's surface. A bottle does not allow for the same dynamics and complexities present in the atmosphere that drive the greenhouse effect.

What traps heat on Earth from escaping into space?

Greenhouse gases like carbon dioxide, water vapor, and methane trap heat on Earth by absorbing and re-emitting infrared radiation emitted by the planet's surface. This creates a natural greenhouse effect that helps regulate Earth's temperature. Human activities, such as burning fossil fuels and deforestation, have increased the concentration of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere, contributing to global warming.

What is the greenhouse effect and how can you prevent it?

The Greenhouse Effect:Greenhouse gases, such as water vapor, carbon dioxide, methane etc., move in and out of the atmosphere. They trap some of the heat radiated out from the Earth that would normally move out into space. This is called the greenhouse effect. It is natural, and is caused by the earth's carbon and water cycles and the heat from the sun. Without this warming we would be a cold dead planet. The Enhanced Greenhouse Effect:Since the beginning of the Industrial Revolution, 260 hundred years ago, we have been burning fossil fuels, initially coal, then oil and natural gas in much greater quantities than before. Fossil fuels contain carbon that has been hidden away for millions of years. Burning fossil fuels is adding extra Carbon Dioxide to the greenhouse gases in the atmosphere, much more than the normal carbon cycle can manage, and is making the atmosphere and the planet warmer. Increased demand for food and red meat has led to massive deforestation for grazing land. Trees no longer act as a valuable soak or sink for carbon dioxide. More cattle mean more methane expelled into the atmosphere. Methane is a much more dangerous greenhouse gas than CO2. This process is called the enhanced, or accelerated greenhouse effect. When the sun's rays enter earth's atmosphere, but don't exit. Too much of this causes Global Warming.A: One of the main causes of Global Warming is the Green house effect. When the emission of infra-red radiation in the atmosphere warms a planet's surface, it is known as the Green House Effect. The Greenhouse effect is a natural phenomena occurring on planet EarthOne of the man-made causes of the Green House effect is deforestation. Deforestation increases the amount of carbon-dioxide in the atmosphere. Also, due to the disappearance of trees, photosynthesis cannot take place. Deforestation causes of the greenhouse effect. Deforestation is rampant today due to the increase in human civilization. The levels of deforestation have increased by about nine percent in recent times. Also, the burning of wood causes it to decay, therefore releasing more carbon-dioxide into the atmosphere.Greenhouse Gases also can be released into the atmosphere due to the burning of fossil fuels, oil, coal and gas. These materials are used increasingly and rampantly in Industries. Therefore Industries are also a major cause of the Greenhouse Effect.Carbon Dioxide and other pollutant gases in the atmosphere prevent trapped heat from escaping into space.

How do emissions give off?

Emissions are released into the atmosphere through various human activities, such as burning fossil fuels for transportation, electricity generation, and industrial processes. These activities release gases like carbon dioxide, methane, and nitrous oxide, contributing to the greenhouse effect and climate change.

What important greenhouse gases does exhaled air contain?

Exhaled air contains carbon dioxide (CO2) and water vapor, both of which are important greenhouse gases that contribute to global warming. While the concentration of CO2 in exhaled air is higher than in the atmosphere, it has a minimal impact on the overall greenhouse gas effect compared to anthropogenic sources.

What in the air is related to global warming?

The greenhouse gases in the air are related to global warming. Greenhouse gases cause the enhanced greenhouse effect which is causing the warmth in the earth overall. The main greenhouse gases are:Water Vapor 36 - 72% effectCarbon dioxide 9 - 26%Methane 4 - 9%Ozone 3 - 7%Nitrous OxideCFCsIt is not possible to give an exact figure for the greenhouse effect of each gas as some of the gases overlap by emitting and absorbing radiation at the same frequencies.

Which of the following are greenhouse gases?

Whenever you write a question in the form of "Which of the following...", you must give some possible answers. We cannot read your assignment paper. In general, greenhouse gases are water vapor, methane and (to a much lower extent) carbon dioxide.

what way of making electricity has the most harmful effect on the environment?

Through non-renewable resources. These give off greenhouse gases when combusted affecting the enviroment and require drilling again affecting the enviroment.

Where do you get college applications?

There are no standardized college and university applications. You must contact each individual school of interest and request an application. What planet in our solar system features the runaway greenhouse effect?

Venus, the second planet from the sun, is covered in clouds and has a very high surface temperature due to its greenhouse effect.Due to an excess amount of carbon dioxide (CO2), its temperature is 460 degrees Celsius or 850 Fahrenheit or 735 Kelvin. It is the hottest planet. It has a very thick atmosphere of Carbon dioxide that is considered a runaway greenhouse effect. Its average surface pressure due to the thick atmosphere is 93 bar, or 93 times that of Earth's. It is also the hottest planet. The greenhouse effect occurs on every planet with an atmosphere (including Earth). On Venus, the runaway greenhouse effect is causing temperatures high enough to melt lead. Venus lost its oceans due to its greenhouse effect.venus
